Our Privacy Policy describes how we, Office Basics (our Company) collects and uses information about you, our customers, visitors and users (our Customers).
Our commitment to privacy
In the course of serving our Customers, our Company obtains, keeps and transmits customer communications and information that our Customers may regard as confidential or sensitive.
Some of this information—such as our Customer's name, address, and telephone number—is provided to our Company by our Customers in order to establish service.
Other information such as our Customer's account status, preference of services, and Customer logs are created and upheld by our Company in the standard course of providing service.
Our Company also uses internet cookies, which are small pieces of information that a website can store in a selected file on our Customer’s computer for different reasons. For example, our Company uses internet cookies on the landing pages of goods or services sold online which record Customer information that is required on the order form. This information is then sent to our internal database.
Additionally, our Company may store our Customers' electronic mail and other communications as a compulsory event to the transmission and delivery of those communications. It must be noted, however, that our Company never stores credit card data as we use trusted and verified external payment services.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our Company's management of data collected online, and does not apply to any offline data compilation practices or to the data compilation practices of any third parties, our Company’s customers, or any entities associated with our Company. Also, please note that use of our Company's website constitutes recognition and acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
Our commitment to data security
Our Company protects the privacy of our Customers' information, both account and personal. To secure the information collected online, prevent unauthorized access, preserve data accuracy and guarantee only appropriate use of information that is collected from our Customers, our Company has employed proper physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. Furthermore, our Company obliges our employees to maintain customer information private and classified.
How we use customer information
Our Company may share Customer information with selected partners, for example, to present our Customers with information about products which might be of interest to our Customer or to enable our Customer to take advantage of special partner programs. Our Company may also make use of Customer information to make available to our Customers any information about promotions and new or upgraded products. As well, our Company may gather and share non-personally identifiable information (such as website usage information) from our Customers to our websites with third-party companies for a variety of purposes such as statistical analysis, performance optimization and promotional uses. In the case of a business transaction, including but not limited to, a merger or sale of a portion of our Company’s assets, Customer information is expected to be part of the assets transferred. In this event, our Company will endeavor to advise our impacted Customers that their information has been transferred.
How customers can modify their information
Our Customers may choose to stop receiving updates about current promotions and new or upgraded products from our Company and our partners at any given time. Most of our Customers may also obtain access and subsequently modify their personal information by visiting their account information page.
Our disclosure of customer information
Our Company will not release our Customers' personal and account information except if our Company has reason to believe that disclosing such information is crucial to identify, make contact with, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing harm or interfering with the rights or property of our Company, our Customers, or others, or where our Company believes that the law necessitates such disclosure such as in response to legal process seeking disclosure of such information. Our Company will also not release the contents of any electronic mail or other electronic communications that our Company stores or transmits for our Customers to third parties, except for the following circumstances: when it is essential in order to provide service to our Customer; when it is essential to protect the legitimate interests of our Company and our Customers; when our Company is mandated to cooperate with interception orders, warrants, or other legal process that our Company determines in its sole discretion to be valid and enforceable; and when it is required by a law enforcement agency to provide them of contents that are inadvertently obtained by our Company and appear to pertain to the commission of a crime.
Our Company disclaims any purpose to censor, edit or engage in ongoing evaluation or examination of communications transmitted through or stored on our facilities by our customers or others. Our Company, however, examines, removes or blocks access to communications that may harm our Company, our Customers or third parties.
